All subscription management is handled through Dashboard > Billing. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

Upgrading your plan

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing.
  2. Click Upgrade plan.
  3. Select your new plan and click Continue to checkout.
  4. Complete the Stripe checkout with your payment details.
Plan upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle, and your new investigation and event allowance is applied right away.
If you are approaching your monthly investigation limit, upgrading mid-cycle is the fastest way to increase capacity without waiting for the next billing period.

Downgrading your plan

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing.
  2. Click Change plan and select a lower-tier plan.
  3. Confirm the downgrade.
Plan downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain your current plan’s features and allowance until then. At renewal, your plan switches to the lower tier.
If your current usage exceeds the limits of the downgraded plan, you will be notified before the downgrade is confirmed.

Viewing invoices

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing.
  2. Click Billing Portal.
This opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can:
  • View and download past invoices
  • Update your payment method
  • Update your billing address and tax information

Cancelling your subscription

  1. Go to Dashboard > Billing.
  2. Click Cancel subscription.
  3. Confirm the cancellation.
Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account is deactivated. Your data, incidents, and investigation history are preserved — reactivate at any time by choosing a new plan.
Cancelling does not delete your account or data. If you want to delete your account entirely, contact support@causeflow.ai.

Quota packs

If you need additional investigations or events beyond your plan allowance, you can purchase quota packs upfront at a reduced per-unit rate. Quota packs are consumed before overage charges apply and do not expire within the calendar year. To purchase quota packs, go to Dashboard > Billing > Buy Quota or contact sales.

Enterprise plans

Enterprise plan changes — upgrades, custom quota volumes, contract renewals — are managed directly with the CauseFlow sales team. The self-serve billing portal does not apply to Enterprise accounts. Contact sales for Enterprise billing inquiries.

Frequently asked questions

Monthly investigation and event allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused allowance does not roll over. Quota packs are the exception — they do not expire within the calendar year.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period — so if you downgrade and then upgrade again, the downgrade is cancelled and only the upgrade applies.
Prorated refunds are available within 7 days of an accidental upgrade. Contact support@causeflow.ai with your invoice number.
CauseFlow accepts all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Annual Enterprise plans can be invoiced with NET-30 payment terms.
